Backyard pond

Because of the ease of maintenance people initially gravitate toward a backyard pond that is purely decorative. It is relatively easy to have a number of attractive plans and even some animal life. Consider water lilies to keep the water free of algae and decorate your pond.

A backyard pond is also made more attractive with a few carefully chosen rocks to surround the edge. Ask your retailer about other plants besides water lilies that will grow in your area. Maintenance has become increasingly less difficult over the past 20 years.

A backyard pond can also have Koi, but it is a little more difficult to maintain. A genuine Japanese garden takes years to develop, but a healthy fish pond can be yours in just a few weeks. Having a backyard pond with fish takes a little time each day, but it is a rewarding hobby if you enjoy animal life.
